Consideran al piracetam no seguro para menores


No se de la calidad d elos que escriben esto, pero tienen una opinión contraria al uso del piracetam en niños.

Piracetam is not considered safe for children

While in India the drug is being promoted for use in very young children, in Britain its use is contraindicated for adolescents under the age of 16 years.

Pop in a pill for instant intelligence. Nootropics in Greek means "acting on the mind". Since the invention of piracetam (a nootropics} by UCB Laboratories in Belgium, other pharmaceutical companies have been scrambling to develop their own nootropics.

Piracetam is believed to increase blood flow between the two hemispheres of the brain. It’s also been reported to protect brain tissue.

In Britain, Piracetam is permitted for use in a rare disorder called cortical myoclonus (cervical seizures). While in India the drug is being promoted for use in very young children, in Britain its use is contraindicated for adolescents under the age of 16 years. Piracetam is not marketed in the United States.

Even though there is no scientific basis for its use for improving cognitive functions, Indian doctors prescribe it for vague conditions like "intellectual decay", "social maladjustment", "lack of alertness", "changes of mood", "deterioration in behaviour", and "learning disabilities in children."

Piracetam is not considered safe for children.
